Winter 2026 Wrap Up

A Family Feel

Winter is such a beautiful time of year. For LOC, it creates an intimate, cozy, family feel for each group that comes to camp. While we spend most of our activity time outside, we spend our in between moments inside, getting warm by the fire playing ping pong, foosball, and other board games during Rec Time. This season is unique because of the activities students get to participate in: sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, animal tracking, etc. Then they come inside to share their experiences with each other and feel that special bond that unites all of our LOC family. LOC provides a safe, supportive environment to be pushed outside one's comfort zone and try new, hard things!

LOC Staff

Every season we say what an incredible LOC Staff team we had and this Winter's group was no different. They absolutely knocked it out of the park! We had many participants share that they felt instantly welcomed by our staff and like they were truly part of our LOC family. This season's staff was a pleasure to work with. They were fantastic role models and educators, and expressed so much love towards every student, parent, and teacher. We love our LOC Staff!

Endowment Matching Campaign

We are currently trying to raise funds for a matching grant program to get to $1,000,000 in our LOC Endowment. This endowment was set up solely to offer tuition assistance to students who wouldn't be able to attend LOC on their own. We now have $736,500 in the Endowment and we have 2 years to raise an additional $131,750 for the matching program.
