Fall 2025 Wrap Up
A Second Summer
After a long and chilly Spring, it felt good to have a warmer Fall season. It was unusual to have our Fall color peaking right as our season was wrapping up, but canoeing the Crystal River the first weekend of October with the temperatures in the mid-70s was such a gift! Not only is the experience unique and beautiful, but canoeing is also an incredible team building activity. For many of our school groups, there are very few students who have canoeing experience. When they first start down the river, they look like pinballs bouncing back and forth from one side to the other and make very little headway. Once they move past the initial frustration and start to work together, it is amazing to watch the progress and peace that comes. Growth and fun is what LOC is all about!
LOC Staff
Our incredible LOC Staff were hard at work all season to help each student work on our three LOC Goals: Do Your Best, Be Considerate, and Have Fun. One teacher from Laker Middle School said, "You guys really know how to connect with our students!" We love taking the opportunity to make everyone who comes to LOC feel appreciated and help them step outside their comfort zone!

Endowment Matching Fund
We are currently trying to raise funds for a matching grant program to get to $1,000,000 in our LOC Endowment. This endowment was set up solely to offer tuition assistance to students who wouldn't be able to attend LOC on their own. We now have $600,000 in the Endowment and we have 4 years to raise an additional $200,000 for the matching program.
