Spring 2025 Wrap Up
Worth the Wait!
After a beautiful, snowy Winter, Spring was slow to come this year. It seemed like our wildflowers and morels weren't in any hurry to wake up, which led to some chilly nights for the school groups staying in outdoor cabins! But everyone was a trooper, and it didn't stop a single student from getting the most out of their Spring LOC experience. Spring always means the return of one of our favorite activities: Pond Study! This year there was plenty to find from insects and larvae, to snakes, frogs, and tadpoles. The Kelderhouse pond is the perfect outdoor classroom for students to learn more about beaver activity and dig around in the pond with their nets to find all sorts of fun creatures!

LOC Staff
It seems like every season we say this was the best staff yet, but this Spring truly was an absolutely phenomenal crew. Each member of our team was ready to patiently embrace the students with love and kindness as soon as they arrived. Not only did we have some epic games of volleyball during Rec Time, but we also saw incredible moments of growth and progress from students with the wonderful support from our staff. We had multiple comments from long-time teachers that this was one of the best staff groups they'd seen in a long time, and we are truly so grateful for the hard work, compassion, and professionalism that each of our staff members expressed. Thank you, LOC Staff. You rock!
